Mike Tan – Director (BSc, MSc, CEng, FCIHT, FInstLM)
Our principal tutor is highly qualified with over thirty five years of experience working as client manager and consultant in the public and private sectors. He has vast experience in engineering, leadership and management, contract supervision, designing and delivering training courses . An all-round trainer in personal development, leadership and management, and language. A fellow member of both the Institute of Leadership and Management (ilm) and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. Mike was a director for two international consultant managing large-scale and high-profile projects in UK and abroad. He is PRINCE2 trained, and a qualified Master trainer in ‘iMindMap’. He was an Associate Lecturer at the former Glamorgan University. Attained ‘Prepare to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector’ (PTTLLS) qualification. Mike has experience in managing Erasmus+ projects with excellent skills in bid writing for KA1 (mobility project) and KA2 (capacity building project).
Phil Pinder, MSc, BSc – Local Volunteer
Phil is currently the Volunteering Lead for a local community organisation. He is responsible for the recruitment, induction, training and retention of a large team of diverse volunteers. He ran six KickStart employability placements and support volunteers in seeking employment. He is the safeguarding lead for the organisation and mental health first aider.
Roy Edwards, MSc – Director
Roy is an experienced professional senior manager, with proven experience of nurturing and building business relationships. He has extensive background in developing public and private sector initiatives. He is a leading player in undertaking a key role in prompting, invoking and managing change in organisations. An excellent trainer highly experienced in strategic planning and networking, project performance and management techniques, and flexible to accommodate the needs and aspirations of client-driven projects. Managed difficult, potentially high risk issues and working in or leading partnerships and joint ventures. Roy has a thorough understanding of the international inward investment market and the key factors that can achieve success.
Harri Shuffley (Level 5 NVQ) – Director
Harri is a young hard-working and technology savvy administrator who has recently finished his Level 5 Certificate in Management and was best student of the year in 2017 at Cardiff & Vale College. He has exceptional organisational skills stemming from his conscientiousness and attention to detail. He is highly proficient with computers and operating systems including; Windows, Mac, WordPress and Linux. Exceedingly talented in Microsoft Suite. Greatly motivated to organisational goals and time constraints. Excellent customer service skills from a background of sales. Harri is fluent in both Welsh and English. Finally he is a great addition to the team and we have great aspirations for his progression.
